Login in is the first step to setup your Netgear router. You have to follow some easy steps to do it.
- First of all Open a web browser in your phone or pc and then login Netgear Wifi Router goto https://www.netgearlogin.net or https://www.netgearlogin.com or your IP Address.
- Click on I agree and then click on next.
- When, you are logging in the website for the first time. You need to create a new password.
- Now, choose a security question which you can recognize easily and then click on next.
- You’ll be redirected to the default settings page on your browser. You may take a pic or snapshot of the page then click on next.
- Now sign in to the web https://www.netgearlogin.net or https://www.netgearlogin.com or your IP Address. Sign In with the username and password.
Internet Settings of Netgear

- After Login you’ll redirected to the Homepage.
- From the left options- Select Internet.
- Under the Internet IP address enter the IP address, IP subnet mask and the gateway IP Address that your ISP assigned the gateway. (ISP is which router get connects to use these DNS servers if you know that your ISP requires specific server then select it and click on apply.)
- From the above mid options you’ll see Test option. This options helps you to test your internet connection speed.
Wireless Settings of Netgear

- Login to https://www.netgearlogin.net or https://www.netgearlogin.com or your IP Address.
- Now, from the left side options- Go to Wireless.
- From the drop down select your country.
- Also, you can specify the settings for the 2.4 GHz band and for the 5g Hertz band (In some locations you cannot change any settings).
- If you want to change the network name SSID then type a new name is SSID field and enter your password.
- Click on apply (Write down your new password and keep it in a secure place).
Setup Guest Wifi Networks
Guest Wifi Networks allows the visitors at your home to use the internet without using the wireless security key.
- You can add a guest network for the 2.4GHz wifi band and the 5.0 G Hertz wifi band.
- Now Under Guest Network settings- Select Guest Network and rename it according to you.
- Check the box of enable guest network and click on apply.
- Under the security settings select WPA2-PSK(AES).
- You can give name to your guest network (upto 32 charaters)
- After making all the necessary changes- click on apply.
Check your Internet Connection Status
Checking Internet connection status is very important to ignore bad and poor network issues. Follow these simple steps to check your internet connectivity.
- Login to https://www.netgearlogin.net or https://www.netgearlogin.com or your IP Address.
- Now, go to Advance options and have a look at the page to see if any error occurs from the internet side.
- Usually, you’ll get error in guest networks- Open guest Networks.
- Now enable checkbox of guest network and SSIF broadcast.
- Click on apply to save changes.
- Now, go to the Advanced options again and check your internet conncetions again. You’ll notice that the guest post is green now (Issue resolved).
- Enter your Password into the wifi connection to access it.
